Collaboratively generating and supporting business ideas of young entrepreneurs.
The ARC initiative seeks to build a bridge, an arc, which facilitates a genuine two-way exchange of knowledge and business skills. We work to initiate and foster relationships between University of British Columbia students, Sauder School of Business alumni and faculty and communities in South Africa and Ethiopia. Learn more about ARC.
The Arc Initiative launched in 2010 in South Africa and expanded to include Ethiopia in 2011. The program continues in 2012 with teams traveling to South Africa and Ethiopia.
This summer over 100 entrepreneurs attended the Arc’s business skills workshop and 15 Sauder students and alumni participated in internships and workshops with the Arc in Africa. The Arc Initiative delivered a one week business skills workshop for entrepreneurs in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Watch this video to learn more about the workshop.
